Isaiah 66:8 Wh…

Shalom! Här nedan är ett brev från Sabras grundare Moti Klimer, där han skriver om minneshögtiden för israeliska soldater och Israels nationaldag.

Isaiah 66:8
Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children.

Dear friends, shalom!

Today evening at 8pm Israeli time starting the Memorial Day of the soldiers and tomorrow night at 8pm starting the celebration of the Independence Day of Israel. This year Israel will be 64 years old. When we are celebrating the Independence Day actually we can see the Hand of God and His miracles. With those miracles He lifted up Israel, when really the Jewish people were almost ash, burned down without hope, without strength; one of the biggest disasters that happened to the Jewish people as a nation. During the 2nd World War we, the Jewish people said, ”we are gone as sheep to the slaughter” till the year 1945. Then one day in May 1948 we became a nation. So we can see the miracles, which are written about in Isaiah 66:8. (see scripture above) We can see through the Independence Day of Israel one more brick of God’s building the true Word of God and the fulfillment of His promises.

In those three years between 1945 and 1948 the little group of the Jewish people in the Land prepared and assisted the Exodus from Europe and from the Muslim countries to arrive to the Land. Broken people, broken hearts, without light in their eyes, tired from the disaster which happened in Europe. When we are reading carefully our Holy Book we can see that when we crossed the sea and the Egyptians drowned, that actually the children of Israel didn’t do nothing. They just kept silent. But when they came to the Land they needed to fight. The meaning is: that yes, its true: this is the Promised Land that God promised and they received it, but… we need to continue to pay for it.

The first one was Abraham, who with his promises in his pocket, needed to continue to fight against kings and nations here in this Land. The first piece of Land that he became the owner of, was paid for by him; that little piece of his own Land. When the children of Israel came to the Land, they needed to fight for each place from God’s Land. After their first exile when they returned back from Babylon and even after the blessing from Cyrus, King of Persia, when arriving back in the Land the enemy who lived in the Land rejected their return. We can see it well in Book of Ezra 4:1-6 and in several scriptures of Book of Nehemiah: 2:19; 4:1-12; 15-17. So we can learn from this that Israel never received the Land on a silver tray.

Even the new Exodus and our Independence Day has also been achieved by fighting and paying a high price. It is good that the leaders in 1948 decided that the Memorial Day (sad day) will be close to the happy day, so that we always should remember those youths, who paid such a big high price and gave their life for this Land.

Today at 8PM Israeli time all of us we shall stand 1 minute to remember those wonderful wonderful youths. We can definitely say about those youths like it is written in 2 Samuel 1:23 — ”They are swifter than eagles; they were stronger than lions..”

I, by myself, I lost friends, soldiers, officers for my country, for my Land.
We still need to continue to teach the children of Judah to fight and to use the bow, as is written in 2 Samuel 1:18 — ..and he told them to teach the children of Judah the Song of the Bow; indeed it is written in the Book of Jasher: ..
After 64 years still enemies have it in their hearts to push the children of Israel in the sea and actually they are trying. They say it as it is written in Psalm 83:4 — ”They have said, ”Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Every generation, every year there come new enemies who are against God. They want to destroy the Covenant that God has with His people Israel.

It is not going to be an easy day for those mothers, families, friends those that lost the most dear in their lives. When you are listening to the stories and you are reading about those youths, who were full of life and full of joy. They left their homes, their families and they are not coming back home. From tonight till tomorrow evening our hearts will be at least 1 day with those families, those mothers that lost the most precious in their lives. For us, the Israeli people those memories and the sorrow are very fresh. For us it is not a history thing, but a daily reality.

Tomorrow night at 8PM Israeli time will be starting the celebration of the Independence Day. The celebration of the Independence Day will be held at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem, by reading from Book of Ezekiel 37:1-end of 14. And when you see the Land you understand maybe better this prophesy about the dry bones.

Yes, maybe it’s a long letter that I am writing to you, my dear beloved friends. Maybe those days are not biblical and you will ask me why it is so important to bring it before you. Its true, its not biblical, but you see the fulfillment of God’s promises and such kind of God, definitely you can trust!

Much love,
Moti
